Taking Innovation to the Next Level: Cleary Building Corp. partners with Propel Door Systems
November 11, 2011

Verona, WI – Continuing their commitment to improving building functionality through technological advancement, Cleary Building is proud to announce the option of Propel Door Systems for their buildings with slide doors.

The Propel Door System, specifically designed for single and bi-parting doors on post-frame buildings, allows building owners to easily convert their sliding doors into automatic doors. Owners no longer need to struggle to open doors or worry about wind that sometimes makes closing traditional sliding doors problematic. The patent pending three-part system includes:

The Drive System: This consists of the header drive rail, commercial grade operator, safety features, wall mounted control station, motor and remote.

The Cinchers control the back side of the door and keep it engaged on the exterior lower rail. They also snug the closed doors against the building.

The final component is the Floor Track, which ensures that closing doors always meet at the center. This also prevents wind from blowing doors into or away from the building.

All parts of the Propel Door System are located inside the building, keeping them protected from weather.

Because safety is a number one concern at Cleary Building Corp. and Propel Doors, the product was thoroughly tested before releasing it to potential clients. All Propel Door systems with electrical operators include photocells and a wall station as well as built in safety features found in the operator. This prevents any person or object from being inadvertently trapped between the door and the building.

Cleary Building Corp. will begin offering clients the Propel Door System in new buildings in November 2011. Current building owners will also have the option of installing the system as long as their sliding doors are in good operating condition, the building has electrical access and has a concrete floor or apron.

Cleary Building Corp. is a nation-wide leader in customized pre-engineered buildings. Building applications include commercial, residential, suburban, farm and equine facilities along with metal roofing and re-roofs. The buildings consist of a wood frame with pre-painted steel panels used for roofing and siding. Cleary Building Corp. is proud to offer a lifetime paint warranty. This type of building provides for a long-lasting, low-maintenance and cost effective structure.

Cleary Building Corp. is a family-owned company in business since 1978! The corporate office and manufacturing plant are located in Verona, WI. Additional manufacturing facilities are located in Grand Island, NE and Hazelton, ID. Cleary Building Corp. employs over 800 full-time employees throughout the United States at its 80 offices.

Founded in Springfield, Illinois by Mark Gazda and Jim Norris, Propel Doors started from the idea that sliding doors on machinery and storage building should be automated, similar to the electric garage door. In 2009, the co-founders began working on a system that would be affordable, safe, self-cleaning, located inside the building and would keep the doors under control from the time they open until the time they are fully retracted, all while still maintaining the horizontal and vertical clearance they needed. In addition to designing the Propel Door System, Propel also works with training installers and designing system adaptations to meet specific needs of non-standard buildings and doors.
